FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TYKMA Electrox Returns to SHOT Show 2026 with Precision Max™ Technology for High-Demand Firearms & Defense Marking

Booth #70717 – Las Vegas, NV

Editor’s Note (Updated January 15, 2026):
This press release has been updated to clarify that the giveaway laser system features a Cerakote® finish with a vinyl-applied graphic, not laser imaging on Cerakote.

TYKMA Electrox is heading back to SHOT Show in 2026 with the technology everyone in the Firearms and Defense sector has been talking about since last year: Precision Max™, the company’s high-accuracy, high-repeatability laser scanning system built to dominate demanding weapon-component marking workflows.

After a strong showing in 2025 with the Minilase™ XL Manual and Precision Max configuration featuring the enhanced 12″ × 12″ Medium Field Small Spot (MFSS) Scanhead, TYKMA Electrox is stepping into SHOT Show 2026 with an even bigger footprint and expanded demo systems lineup. The Precision Max-equipped Minilase XL Manual is engineered for armorers, shops, and OEMs who need flawless, repeatable results across serialized components, Cerakote®-coated parts, metals, polymers, optics, and accessory lines.

In addition to its Precision Max systems, TYKMA Electrox is bringing a full lineup of firearms-focused laser platforms to SHOT Show 2026, including the Minilase LBL, the new Lase N Go mobile Class 1 handheld system, and a Cerakote-finished 30W Virtus™ giveaway unit.

The custom Cerakote-finished Virtus Class 4 system will be TYKMA Electrox’s next giveaway unit specifically for SHOT Show 2026 attendees.

Purpose-Built for Firearms Marking

Precision Max pushes accuracy far beyond standard galvo performance, giving manufacturers tight control over precise ATF depth requirements, micro text, recoil-plate markings, receivers, and accessory components. The system’s stability and repeatability make it ideal for batch runs, jigged fixtures, and high-precision gun-part production.

TYKMA’s private-label MOPA fiber lasers are the same sources trusted across Cerakote® facilities worldwide.

Cerakote Laser Imaging Certified

The Minilase XL Manual is officially Cerakote Laser Imaging certified, and the story behind the certification speaks for itself. Cerakote® owns multiple Minilase XL units and uses them daily. There is a wide range of Cerakote coatings that perform exceptionally well with laser imaging. Their F Series production coatings were specifically developed to be highly compatible with laser imaging processes. In their words, TYKMA delivers the cleanest, sharpest, and most consistent reaction with their coatings, which is why they now recommend TYKMA lasers to their customers. Cerakote now offers laser imaging training for those who purchase a TYKMA Electrox certified laser system.

Built for Real-World Firearms Workflows

The Minilase XL Manual is a compact but capable tabletop Class 1 enclosure with a manual vertical door. Adding a pass-through port on the side of the enclosure allows users to handle longer parts such as:

  • Rifle barrels
  • Handguards
  • Suppressor tubes
  • Knife blanks
  • Optics housings
  • Golf clubs (popular crossover market)

The system maintains the full capabilities of a high-performance 60W MOPA fiber laser, including annealing, deep engraving, color marking on titanium, high-contrast markings on steel, crisp marks through Cerakote, and fast cycle times for high-volume runs.

Beyond traditional workstation systems, TYKMA Electrox is expanding mobility in the firearms and industrial engraving space with its newest platform.

Introducing the Lase N Go: The First Class 1 Mobile Handheld Laser System

TYKMA Electrox will also showcase the Lase N Go, the newest addition to our portfolio and the industry’s first certified Class 1 20W mobile handheld laser marking system. This platform was engineered for industrial environments where large, fixed, or irregular components cannot be brought to a traditional workstation.

The Lase N Go features a handheld laser scanhead tethered to a compact control unit through a durable umbilical. The scanhead uses a swappable lens cone system to switch marking fields, and each cone integrates a vacuum-based air-pressure sensor that confirms full contact on pipes, tanks, metal panels, machinery and oversized components. Once sealed, indicator lights on the scanhead signal that the system is ready, and a simple trigger pull initiates the marking process.

While the system was originally designed to mount on a wheeled dolly cart equipped with a built-in PC and touchscreen, the Lase N Go will be shown at SHOT Show in a streamlined desktop configuration. Even without the dolly, attendees will see the same core mobility, precision, and safety features that make this platform ideal for marking large containers, structural components, field equipment and any part incompatible with enclosed systems.

Requiring only standard power and an air line, the Lase N Go delivers true mobility, industrial durability, and the operational safety of a fully certified Class 1 handheld laser.

Virtus Laser Giveaway: Open-Frame Class 4 Laser Built for Firearms Manufacturing

TYKMA Electrox will also feature their second Virtus laser giveaway, a 30W Class 4 open-frame fiber laser engineered for firearms manufacturers who need total part access without the limitations of an enclosure. The Virtus platform allows operators to position any component under the laser, including receivers, slides, barrels, rails, frames, suppressor tubes, and large or irregular assemblies. This makes it ideal for flexibility-driven firearm workflows.

The system includes built-in axis controls for precise positioning across multi-part setups and varied component heights. Rotaries and XY tables are sold separately. Every Virtus unit ships with a programmable tool post and a breadboard fixture plate, giving manufacturers a versatile foundation for jigs, clamps, vises, and high-mix marking environments.

For SHOT Show 2026, TYKMA Electrox is bringing a custom Cerakote-finished Virtus Laser as this year’s giveaway system, like the machine given away in September 2025. The machine features a Cerakote-coated chassis and artwork created by Cerakote themselves. This showcases the quality and consistency achievable when combining TYKMA’s private-label MOPA technology with Cerakote.

Additional giveaway details will be announced at the show and on social media.

SHOT Show 2026: What to Expect
